Amanda began her career as Press Officer of Chichester Festival Theatre. She moved to Croydon Warehouse Theatre as Co-Administrator, then Leicester Haymarket Theatre as Marketing Manager.
She was the Associate at Peter Thompson Associates; PTA specialises in theatre, and also covers opera, dance, music and individuals.
For 20 years, Amanda Malpass was the Associate at Peter Thompson Associates (PTA). In February 2010, Amanda set up her own company, Amanda Malpass PR. Productions and clients so far have included the West End musicals Chicago (ongoing), Mamma Mia! (ongoing), Jersey Boys (ongoing), Million Dollar Quartet (broadcast publicity, ongoing), South Pacific (Barbican Theatre & UK tour, ongoing), Midnight Tango (UK tour, 2011, forthcoming West End run and second UK tour, 2012), Being Shakespeare (UK tour & West End, 2010/2011), the UK tour of Brother Love’s Travelling Salvation Show (2011), the UK tours of Alvin Ailey 2 and Les Ballets Trocadero de Monte Carlo for Dance Consortium (2011), the UK tour of Goodnight Mister Tom for the Children’s Touring Partnership (2011), the Union Theatre’s Iolanthe at Wilton’s Music Hall (2011), An Evening with Ronnie Wood (one-night concert in London, 2010), Boogie for Stu (one-night concert in London, 2011), the Rose Theatre Kingston (2010), Kristina at the Royal Albert Hall for Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus (April 2010), The Secret of Sherlock Holmes (limited West End season, July/August 2010), the UK tour of the new stage adaptation of the children’s book Guess How Much I Love You (2010), the West End Christmas season of Peppa Pig’s Birthday Party (Criterion Theatre, December 2010), Wilton’s Vintage Christmas (Wilton’s Music Hall, December 2010), Holiday On Ice UK for Stage Entertainment (2010/2011).

(Hugh Jackman), Oliver! (directed by Sam Mendes and again by Rupert Goold), Chicago (1997-2010), Mamma Mia! (1999-2010), Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, The Producers, Guys and Dolls (Ewan McGregor, Patrick Swayze, Don Johnson), The Lord of the Rings, Hairspray, Jersey Boys and Sister Act. Plays included All’s Well That Ends Well (Judi Dench), Art (1996-2003), The Breath of Life (Judi Dench and Maggie Smith), Burn This (John Malkovich), The Caretaker (Michael Gambon, Rupert Graves, Douglas Hodge), A Christmas Carol (Patrick Stewart), Cryptogram (Eddie Izzard), Death of a Salesman (Brian Dennehy), Elling (John Simm), Equus (Daniel Radcliffe & Richard Griffiths), God of Carnage (Ralph Fiennes), The Graduate (Kathleen Turner, Jerry Hall, Lynda Gray, Amanda Donohoe, Anne Archer), Hay Fever (Judi Dench), The Lady in the Van (Maggie Smith), A Month In the Country (Helen Mirren, Joseph Fiennes), The Play What I Wrote (dir.
